We at G&N Windows supply and install a beautifully engineered timber front door from a specialist manufacturer. With low insulating values, high security, a wide range of finishes and glass types these innovative entrance door systems give you the flexibility to design your own front door in either a contemporary or traditional style.

All of our timber products are manufactured using engineered timber – softwood, hardwood or oak. The technique of engineering multiple sections of timber, arranging them so the direction of the grain goes in different directions ensures that a rigid timber is created. Ideal for solid windows, French doors and bifold doors as there is no warping or twisting, guaranteeing a perfectly fitting door for years to come.

Thermal efficiency

When considering thermal performance issues, timber, a naturally insulating material, makes for an excellent choice. Air pockets within timber’s structure create a natural barrier to heat and cold. Of all the timber options in construction, lightweight timber (softwood) is the better insulator overall as thermal conductivity increases with density. In short, timber is an outstanding natural insulator and will warm a room not only thermally, but also with its beautiful warm grains.

Lead time

All of our timber products are made to order in Europe, lead times can vary from 6-8 weeks.
